Hello Cambridge Pool swimmers!
Announcing Our Coaches for 2019:
Anna Duncan and Trinity!!!
Anna has been a lifeguard for Cambridge Pool (5th year) and Trinity and we are very happy to have both take the lead this summer!
(Find out more about them at the Lifeguard page)
This summer we are excited to participate in our fifth summer of a rec swim league with 5 other pools in our area.
It is a fun, low-key league where the kids can improve on their swimming skills and enjoy a little friendly competition. The pools that are involved are Northview, Jan Rae, Madrona, Northwood, Holiday, and Cambridge. We will be hosting a few meets at our own pool! We WILL be responsible to provide volunteers at our meets as it takes a lot of volunteer power to make everything work.
The first swim practice will be Monday, June 18th at 8am at Cambridge Pool. Our Swim-meets are on Thursday afternoons starting at 4. On Friday we will practice and have some fun swim games for the team.
The season will start on June 18th. Our first "Jelly Bean" Swim-meet will be Friday, June 21st from 9-10am This will be a practice meet - AT OUR POOL. Our last meet will be an All-City meet with all 6 swim teams competing on Saturday, July 27th.
Anyone who can swim the length of the pool can participate. All swimmers 8 and under only swim one length of the pool during meets. 9 years and up swim 2 lengths. They have it split up into age groups.

These are the races that will be at each of the events. It will be staged in this order ascending age within each event. Our coach, Anna Duncan, will determine which race/races they will participate in.
Free style relay
Swimmers must wear a black suit that fits them and is comfortable. Girls Should Have A One Piece for To Reduce Water Friction.
Our first practice will be on June 18th for the kids and it will also be a mandatory parent meeting as well. We will need a parent to be there as we will be meeting Coach Duncan , answering any questions, giving out the list of meets and getting volunteers signed up to help at specific meets.
We know that summer time is a busy time for everyone so we don't expect to have everyone there for every practice. We just ask that you let Coach Duncan know that you won't be there for a specific practice/meet.
Again, we are SO excited to begin our fifth summer season at Cambridge. Please feel free to email Kelly Greer directly if you have any questions and/or concerns. Go Cambridge Caimans!!
